Subject: Duplicate entries for the same email in inbox

A couple of emails (usually some of the latest) appear twice in my inbox. If I move or delete one of the emails, both entries disappear from the inbox.
I can select/hightlight either or both of the entries.
I tried replacing mail design, and am now using the 8.5.1 cd8 release (client and mail design), but the error persists.
Anyone have a clue?
